Here are some of the best places to get your ice cream fix while visiting our area. Hard, soft, mixed with slush, try one, try them all!

Hard Ice Cream

Sam's Snack Bar

Located at Pioneer Bay campground in Clearwater Provincial Park, Sam's Snack Bar is a coveted treat for campers and day visitors. They have many flavours to choose from and a weekly special flavour to entice your tastebuds. Sam's has a full menu of classic burgers, fries and appetizers to keep your tummy satisfied.

Snackland

Located at #1 St. Goddard Avenue, this convenience store gives all the nostalgic feels from the 90s! In addition to their great selection of hard ice cream flavours, given in generous scoops, you can get all the usual convenience store goodies AND to top it off you can RENT MOVIES too! After grabbing your sweet treats, you can take a nice walk on the path located right behind them. Sit at the picnic tables or benches and enjoy watching the bids playing on the pond. Open from 8:30am-10:30pm.

Soft Serve & More

Dutch Drive-In

Located as you drive into the Town of The Pas (1445 Gordon Avenue) is this amazing little Drive-In with all the vintage drive-in feels like window side delivery. After filling your belly with one of their other mouth watering menu items, finish off with one of their generous soft serve cones or the "dutchie" made of slush and soft serve ice cream. Open 11am to 7pm (May-Oct).

Mischuk's Convenience

This Indigenous owned and family run convenience store is located in Big Eddy (OCN) at 860 Kichemaskenow. They are one of the only places in the area where you can get Lactose Free Soft Serve! One of their most popular treats is the Big Eddy Blast, which is a mixture of Slush and Lactose Free Soft Serve, but you can get all the fun things you loved as a kid like freshly made cotton candy and bags of popcorn.

Kelsey Trail Esso

This convenience store offers self-serve ice cream along with all the usual goodies you want at a small town convenience store. Grab something hot to go with your cold treat. Their chicken and taquitos are yum! Open 24 hours.
