Unlock the Canvas of Northern Manitoba: Where Creativity Flourishes and Community Thrives

Welcome, art enthusiasts and adventurers, to the enchanting world of Northern Manitoba. Here, amidst the rugged beauty of the northern landscape, creativity flourishes in abundance, offering a treasure trove of artistic expression waiting to be discovered. From captivating murals to mesmerizing stage performances, join us as we embark on a journey through The Pas and its surrounding areas, where every corner is adorned with the vibrant tapestry of artistry.

The Pas Arts Council: Nurturing Creativity, Fostering Community

At the heart of The Pas' thriving arts scene lies the The Pas Arts Council, a beacon of creativity and culture that exists to promote arts and culture in the region through exposure, education, and participation. Led by an extraordinary group of volunteers, the Arts Council serves as the nucleus of The Pas' artistic community, providing vital support and resources to local artists and cultural groups. Serving as the backbone of The Pas' cultural vibrancy, the Arts Council supports a diverse range of artistic disciplines and interests among its member groups.

Beyond providing essential support, it ignites creativity by fostering collaboration and innovation. Moreover, it fills programming gaps, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity by offering diverse events and opportunities for artistic expression.

Walking Path Murals: Celebrating Community and Resilience

Our journey begins along The Pas' walking path, where vibrant murals infuse the landscape with inspiration and resilience. Launched last October by The Pas Guest List, the Walking Path Murals project united artists Murray Siple and Mike Spencer in a collaborative effort to combat vandalism and celebrate community spirit.

Murray Siple, a quadriplegic artist from Salt Spring, BC, defied expectations with his monumental 40-foot masterpiece, inspiring local students to embrace their creativity. As we wander the path, each mural shares tales of resilience and triumph, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in The Pas' vibrant spirit. With plans to expand to 20 murals over the next decade, this evolving outdoor gallery promises to captivate visitors for years to come.

The Pas Guest List hosts various events that support the arts community, ranging from elegant dress-up dinners to entertaining 90's trivia nights. Proceeds from these events go towards supporting the mural project. Subscribe to their email guest list to receive first-in-line invitations to upcoming events.

But the artistic journey doesn't end there. Explore The Pas' diverse murals and other artworks scattered throughout the community, from the library to a local hotel. To add an extra element of fun to your art-hunting adventure, we've prepared a downloadable BINGO card for you to seek out these hidden gems.
